Management and digitalization of Field Service activities

Digitalization, automation and management of the operations on facilities and networks

The customer commissioned the development and implementation of a Field Service Management system for two companies of the Group, SET Distribuzione (electricity service) and Novareti (water and gas service), with the aim of digitalizing and automating the following business processes:

  • Activities on customers;
  • Simple and complex works;
  • Emergencies interventions;
  • Management and maintenance of facilities and distribution networks.


Geocall, the leading Field Service Management product for the Energy & Utility industry

The Geocall product, which has been implemented and installed on-premises, can be accessed from mobile devices and desktop.

Backend side, Geocall allows to manage the agenda of resources, as well as their workshifts, by dispatching Work Orders and optimizing technicians’ routes and travel times.

It is fully integrated with the other solutions of the company’s application map, such as:

  • Zucchetti to manage personnel and timesheets
  • SAP IS-U to manage users
  • SAP PM for works and quotes
  • SAP MM to manage materials
  • HDA to manage emergency interventions
  • SIR technical and management application for distribution networks based on ESRI technology
  • TMM to manage electricity and gas smart meters
  • Simpledo to manage and maintain equipment
  • Sharepoint to store documents

On the other hand, mobile side, Geocall allows to manage and perform Work Orders in mobility, interact with the smart meters and providing field technicians with checklists and digital work instructions.
